From age eight to 12, I grew up around race cars at a race track called Elko Speedway in Elko, MN. A late uncle of mine raced there, and it was family tradition to head to the track every Saturday night and get there by 6 pm and stay out until 2 am.

That’s translation for I grew keen to fast cars and rugged reeved engine sounds at a young age.

When it comes to cars, I have expensive and very specific taste.

I won’t bore you with the details of why I’m attracted to the specific vehicle I am, mostly because I’m not a Gear Head and I have no idea what the mechanical difference is between a V6 or V8 is other than a V8 has more horse power when you put your foot on the gas pedal.

How I ended up taking the photos below was because of a simple ask I had for my birthday in 2015. The answer I was given was, “you were brave enough to come in and ask, so the answer is yes. How about you take it for the weekend?”

Don’t over complicate what doesn’t need to be overcomplicated.

Know what you want, own it, and enjoy the experience when someone says “yes” to something that you’ve had your eye on.

Stand, but don’t stay in the middle,
